The dining room today
Current view of the dining room
Panelling, laid tables, paintings on the walls. To be compared with the period postcard of the same room and with Metcalf’s painting.
On the estate
The main building
Bedrooms upstairs, the dining room below — the room where the painters left their canvases on the wall. Two studios were fitted under its roof in 1890; they are gone.
