Cover front on blue squared paper, printed letterhead “MERCERIE EN GROS — MACHINES À COUDRE — BAUDY — GIVERNY (EURE)”; twenty-centime Empire stamp and Vernon datestamp.
A cover headed “MERCERIE EN GROS — MACHINES À COUDRE — BAUDY, GIVERNY (EURE)”, addressed to a correspondent in the Orne. The stamp is a twenty-centime Second Empire issue, cancelled at Vernon. It is one of the earliest dated items in the collection.
