Handwritten Christmas pudding recipe

Manuscript leaf in ink, headed “Christmass Pudding”. It lists brown sugar, Malaga raisins, sultanas, currants, beef suet, flour, breadcrumbs, grated carrot, mixed spice, nutmeg and “Barking powder”. The spelling is that of the document. The Peers de Nieuwburgh collection takes the notebook to be that of the young landlady “in her thirties”: Angélina Baudy having been born in 1853, that places its use between 1883 and 1892.
